Pyungkang Cheil Church was built on a foundation of love for the Word of God. It endeavors to share this love through ministry, teaching, and service until God's covenant of redemption is fulfilled in its entirety. Founder Abraham Park believed that the Bible was the living Word of God and absolutely error free. His “ministry of the Word” philosophy focused first and foremost on the Word of God.

Pastor Abraham Park, the founder of Pyungkang Cheil Church, read the Bible over 1,800 times. The grace he received through this experience was deeply personal and moving. From then on, it became his passion to provide an environment where people could come together and have the opportunity to share in the discovery of their own deeply personal experience of grace through the practice of a Word-centered ministry. Now, PyungKang Cheil Church has grown to be one of the largest churches in Korea, with 150 ministers, 250 elders, 1,400 eldresses, and 70,000 members. It is also a member of the Christian Council of Korea. The church has a growing global network, with over 70 sister churches established in North America, mainly in the United States and Canada, and over 230 sister churches from around the world, including Japan, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, UK, Germany, Brazil, Guatemala, Chile, Pakistan etc.

Pyungkang Cheil Church practices its world mission through meaningful Bible education. In order to guide others along their path of discovery, Pastor Abraham Park wrote "The Redemption Series" prior to the end of his ministry. Aligned with Calvinism and conservative theology, the nine books  are written with a focus on “God’s Administration in the History of Redemption.” Starting from the first Messianic covenant with Adam in Genesis 3:15, it expounds on role God’s covenants play in the path to redemption for human kind throughout history and that continue to influence our path today. In concert with reading, learning, and teaching the Bible from the point of view of redemption, these books establish a groundwork and direction for meaningfully practicing one’s faith. The church also holds worldwide seminars on the importance of God’s history of redemption. Since 2007, seminars have been held regularly in the Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania and Africa, revealing the light of the gospel and brining a deeper understanding of the Christian faith to those in attendance.

It is a truly unique experience to meet at the church in a forest on mountain, yet be in a metropolitan city surrounded by the concrete jungle. The church is established on 46 acres of land, with numerous facilities that enable us to grow and share our faith with the community through fellowship. Facilities include the Moriah main sanctuary and multiple satellite sanctuaries for worship, Abraham Park and Kenneth Vine Museum Collection, theological libraries, and restaurants.

DON'T MISS OUT OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF MEMBERS ON-SITE: Choirs, Orchestra, Youth Orchestra, Bible study, English classes, Various worship services (interpreted in English), English worship services, etc.
