Job was man who emptied himself like an empty can. He was a man of absolute thanksgiving from an emptied heart who did not hope for any payment or reward. It's easy to say, but when we are afflicted as Job was there will only seem to be darkness in front of us. Can we confess as Job did, who fervently loved without conditions, absolutely trusting only in God, believing and hoping in Him? Job, in his heart, held onto God tightly with his right hand. The dark night has come, but just as the train cars connect to each other, Job gave thanks holding onto God with that connecting hand.
